Melo or Bron Bron via Rap Relapse

The good brothers at Rap Relapse asked my opinion on who was better LeBron or Carmelo. Check out what I had to say up top.

ESPN’s 30 for 30 – Fab 5

Man my timeline was going crazy on Sunday night when this aired. I was up at Sirius for RIOC so I couldn’t see it live. Fortunately for me Yardie aka Rip Game Proper got the links popping. Yo real talk watching a doc on a moment I lived through is wild. The C Webb Michigan 4 was the first basketball jersey I ever bought. The huarache’s, the black nike socks…wow what a time!! I remember watching the Final Four game live with Peter, Angel and the rest of my friends at my crib. I remember that time out like it was yesterday. This was really an amazing documentary. I only wish Chris would’ve participated in it. Either way you should check it out. I can’t embed these but the links to view are HERE.

Face Off – Jared Jeffries vs. Swizz Beatz

With the readdition of the homie Jared Jeffries to the Knicks roster I thought it’d only be right to have him in this edition of Face Off. During his first stint here I always thought he looked like Alicia’s new boo, now let’s see what you think. I like son’s game though, he plays hard and he doesn’t have to be a scorer on this Knicks team so I think he’ll be a good fit this time around. #NYKnicks

#BeatTheHeat

There was so much hype surrounding the Miami Heat this summer after the Decision that Miami was a shoe-in to win it all this year. We’ll as history has shown time & time again all that glitters aint gold. I’m a huge Lebron fan, but until that boy gets a killer instinct ala MJ or Kobe he’ll never be a champion. Here’s to the New New York’s victory over the “Big 3”. Salute…

Rihanna All Star Medley ft. Drake & Kanye

I didn’t get to see this live as I had to head to Sirius during the halftime show I gotta admit it wasn’t that bad. We all know Rihanna isn’t the best singer or dancer but she manages to rock this performance. She really gets sexier & sexier with each new project & make-over. Applaud her stylist for taking her career to the next level & Terius for giving her a smash hit!. During the “What’s My Name” performance the flirtation between her & Aubrey is blatantly obvious, leading me to believe he tagged at least once. Thank the Lawd for hip-hop my Canadian friend. Kanye’s outfit was uhhhh…..Kanye’s outfit. Nothing that guy wears shocks me anymore, but I am a little curious about the actual material his pants were made from?? *Blank Stare* Overall that was a dope halftime show waaaaaay better than the Superbowl’s. And I gotta say I’m very happy about how hip-hop rap R&B urban music was represented during the weekend in general. Cali Swag District, Keri Hilson, Melanie Fiona and more. Hats off to David Stern for green lighting those performers & giving them an opportunity to shine on such a grand stage.

Knicks Get A “W” in Melo/Billups Debut

I can’t say it enough & I’m sure my family is tired of hearing it as well but WE GOT MELO. I’m a Knick simple & plain I bleed orange & blue during basketball season & after damn near a decade of pure dismal madness, we finally have a squad again. It’s gonna take some time for the guys to get that chemistry together and lord knows we’re basically in March so we don’t have much time, but Melo put it best during his post game interview “towards the end of the game it came down to basketball”. Having Chauncey Billups as the point isn’t just a through-in either. He’s a veteran, a proven leader & a champion. I’m hoping our post season run is a good one but either way basketball is back in New York City.
